HIGH GRADE GOLD IN INITIAL ROCK SAMPLES  - 30 JUNE 2010

Rock samples from mine dumps at Paradigm’s Temora project have returned gold grades up to 75 g/t Au from the Homeward Bound and 24 g/t Au from the Barron West prospects. See Figure 1.

The Temora project is located along the Gilmore Suture, a major regional fault that controls large epithermal gold deposits including Cowal (2.5 million oz) and Gidginbung (0.7 million oz).  See Figure 2.

Homeward Bound prospect is associated with a potassium radiometric anomaly which may reflect hydrothermal alteration.

The project is believed to be prospective for epithermal gold deposits hosted by Ordovician sedimentary rocks. Prospecting is in progress to identify drill targets.

BACKGROUND OF PROJECT

The  Temora gold project, EL 7443, was granted in early 2010 and is 100% owned by Paradigm Metals.

Gold was first discovered in 1869 in the Sebastopol area 15km south of Temora, at sites which became known as the Morning Star and Evening Star mines.  All gold won was obtained from quartz reefs, however production records are poor.  There were two major production periods from 1869 to 1880 (hard rock mining), and 1897 to 1898 (tailings processing).  It is estimated that 30,000 oz of gold was produced, predominantly from the Morning Star.

At Sebastopol, the principal veins strike northwest and dip to the southwest at about 60 degrees (Figure 1).  They conform to the bedding and schistosity in the altered Ordovician sediments.  The veins varied in thickness from stringers to about 3.5 metres.  The Morning Star was worked to a maximum depth of 110m.

No production or old geological records are available for the Homeward Bound, however old records indicate there were a large number of shallow shafts.  The Barron workings were mined on a very small scale during 1941.  All workings have been rehabilitated, with the exception of shallow shafts still intact at Barron East and West.
